Resumen:
Solid oxide fuel cells (SOFC) are a type of fuel cells that use a solid oxide (i.e. an oxide ceramic) as the electrolyte connecting both electrodes. The most widely used ceramic electrolyte nowadays is yttria-stabilized zirconia, with a high oxide ion conductivity at temperatures between 800~1000 °C . There is a trend to switch to lower operation temperatures, in order to reduce operational costs and increase the lifetime of the components. Lanthanum silicate oxyapatite (LSO), with an apatite-like structure and formula La9.33+x(SiO4)6O2+3x/2 (where 0
