Resumen:
Objective: The distribution of health and disease is recognized to be influenced by multiple contextual factors, which may in turn limit access to health care. This study aimed to identify socioenvironmental determinants of mammography practice among women in Argentina.Material and Methods: A cross-sectional study was conducted on n=4,924 women aged 50-70 years who participated in the 2018 National Risk Factor Survey of Argentina (multistage probability sampling). Using a two-level logistic random intercept model, associations between the mammography practice (having mammography within the last 2 years, yes/no) and socio-environmental covariates were explored, accounting for the spatial clustering of data. Provincial health statistics were obtained from Argentina´s Ministry of Health reports. Socio-environmental covariates included a proximal dimension (home/family characteristics, urban environment) and a distal dimension (socio-health context indicators). Individual-level sociodemographic characteristics were included as adjustment variables. Results: Only 62% of women who participated in this study had mammograms in the last 2 years. Women living in non-marital homes (multi-person or single-parent homes) showed a lower chance of having mammography (OR 0.61, p
