Resumen:
In this article we describe a case study carried out in early 2019 in a regular language coursefor future teachers and translators of English at a local university. We designed a pedagogicproposal, task and theme based, whose focus was on Maus by Spiegelman (Zamuner, 2019)and in which we addressed its intercultural citizenship and human rights content. The projectaimed at developing not only linguistic competence and gaining disciplinary and professionalknowledge, skills and competencies in the classroom but also fostering educational purposesin the English teaching and translation degrees. Theoretically, the case is based on aconceptualisation of literature as a springboard for students? linguistic, communicative, intercultural and citizenship development.
