Resumen:
This presentation is part of my ongoing doctoral research on women who committed infanticide in the province of Buenos Aires at the time that the Argentinian Penal Code was being formulated. The period that I study spans from 1886, the year in which the first National Penal Code was approved, to 1921, when a new Code was implemented, inaugurating a new phase in the history of penal law that continues up until the present day. Here, I intend to present my preliminary findings and reflect upon some of the issues that arose throughout the process of the systematizing and analyzing the judicial documents of some of the cases considered by the courts to be ?infanticides?.
