A new species of Discopleurus Lacordaire, the first Stenosini (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae: Pimeliinae) from Brazil

Resumen:
Discopleurus bondezani sp. nov. is described from a small cave within the Cerrado biogeographic province, in the state of Minas Gerais, Southeast Brazil. The new species is unique among Discopleurus in having the abdominal ventrite 2 as long as ventrite 5. Habitus photographs of the new species and a comparison of morphological characteristics with other closely related species are provided. This is the first record of a species of Stenosini from Brazil.
