Resumen:
Nestpredationandbroodparasitismarekeyfactorsaffectingnestsurvivalinpasserinebirds.Asaresult,birdsmayselectnestsitesthatminimizetheprobabilityofnestsbeingfoundbypredatorsorbybroodparasites.Nevertheless,evidenceremainsequivocal.Myobjectivewastodeterminetherelationshipbetweennestmicrohabitatcharacteristics(nestconcealment,distancetoaroad,distancetowater,andsubstrate)andnestpredationratesorbroodparasitismratesintheCreamy-belliedThrush.Ifoundnorelationshipbetweenthemicrohabitatcharacteristicsstudiedandnestpredationorbroodparasitismrates.Thisstudy,inconcordancewithseveralpreviousstudies,failstosupport the hypothesisthatnest-siteselectionaffectnestpredationorbroodparasitismrates.
