Resumen:
A plant taphonomic analysis of three Triassic deltaic-lacustrine systems from the westernGondwana i s presented. Systematic sampling was carried out I n three deltaic-lacustrine systems ofthe center-west of Argentina, the Potrerillos-Cacheuta sequence, Agua de la Zorra Formation(Cuyana Basin), and the Los Rastros Formation (Ischigualasto-Villa Unión Basin). Eight taphonomicmodes were identified and described for the three sequences. In all the cases plant remainspreservation in distal lacustrine facies were enhanced by anoxic conditions. In proximal near-shorefacies, the high-water table level, and a high sedimentation rate would have been factors thatenhanced the plant preservation. Differences observed In the number of materials and the diversityof taxa registered have been attributed to ecological particularities instead of variations in thetaphonomic processes in each of the lake systems.
