Resumen:
The Northwest Patagonia late Holocene human occupation was almost a ?barrier? against farmer dispersion, at least during the last 1500 years BP. This barrier looks related to the extension to the Patagonia fitogeographic province The precipitation regime and their implicances over the resources (guanaco and plant productivity and distribution) appear as the stronger variable that influence human subsistence decision.Winter precipitation in Patagonia could affected the domesticated dispersal, however looking the demographic (14C curve) the differences in guanaco abundance could be a stronger reason to not incorporate domesticates.
