Resumen:
This work aims to generate information on tree growth from the montane forests of Yungas, perform ring-width chronologies and basal area increment (BAI) studies for the species Juglans australis Griseb at different altitudinal regions of the Natural Reserve "El Nogalar" of Los Toldos, province of Salta. The growth rates and their variation within higher, medium and lower sites are analysed taking into account the environmental conditions of each site, as well as the agricultural and cattle history of the region.
