Resumen:
Iwill present some the preliminary results of we work with Valeria andRicardo at IANIGLA. Although the final idea is to combine demographicdata with dendrochronological data. Today we're only showing somedemographic resultsHOWDOES RECENT CLIMATE CHANGES CAN AFFECT TREE DEMOGRAPHY AT DIFFERENTELEVATIONS?OBJECTIVES:-TOMONITOR AND COMPARE VITAL RATES (FECUNDITY, MORTALITY AND GROWTH) OFNOTHOFAGUS PUMILIO (LENGA) IN THE ALTITUDINAL GRADIENT (LOW ALTITUDEFOREST: NEAR THE ECOTONE WITH PATAGONIAN STEPPE VS. HIGH ALTITUDEFOREST: BEFORE THE TREELINE) -TOANALYZE THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN DEMOGRAPHY AND CLIMATESeedrain is more abundant at low altitude. There are not clear pattern inthe precipitation gradient. Media y ES para hacer barras (n=5), LOW:6,3 (+-) 2,07; HIGH 2.67 (+-) 1,01 using seeds collected per trapover 2015-2018Thebirth of seedlings per square meter was 14 times higher in the forestof the upper altitudinal limit than in the forest of the lower limitbetween 2012 and 2014. For this period the site also had an effect onbirths. The humidity gradient was important in that period Rio Torothe wettest site had the highest number of birthsthemortality of seedlings was lower in the highest altitude forestSurvivalof adult trees was found to be slightly higher at low altitudeforest in the first census, 2012-2014 but in general differences werenot statistically significant between 2012 _2018 ; Formula: survival~ treat + (1 | year/code) + (1 | site/code).
