Resumen:
Can the solar activity cause significant climate change? How? Which area is sensitive? Is there any time lag? Here, we investigate the effect of solar activity (1-10 year scale) in the 30 published paleoclimate data during the Maunder Minimum (A.D. 1645?1715), using the superimposition analysis based on the characteristic solar magnetic cycles. We detected significant (>2-3 sigma) solar signals in the data from Asia and Western North America, suggesting complex spatial pattern of climate response. Further analysis of published data and obtaining new climate reconstruction are underway.
