Resumen:
In this study, we examined muscovite and K-feldspar from lithium-bearing pegmatites of thesierras de San Luis. Their composition includes trace elements (K, P, Rb, Cs, Sr, Ba, Ga, Nb y Ta)that vary in abundance with the fractionation process and are indicators of internal evolution, typology and economic potential. Fractionation trends evidenced in diagrams do not differ fromthose known trajectories in other districts. Most of the graphics used for K-feldspar and muscovite, clearly show fractionation within each pegmatite. The pegmatites with mineralization and potentialeconomic interest in tantalum are Géminis, Don Rolando, La Viquita, León Herido and, possibly,Las Cuevas.
