In this presentation we introduce the statistics of voids in the large-scale distribution of galaxies, i.e. the number of voids found in the final data release (DR7) of the Sloan Digital Sky Survey as a function of their radius. We also discuss how this statistics can be used to estimate the σ8 and Omh cosmological parameters with an accuracy of ∼5% at the 68% C.L.
