Resumen:
The growing need to use wild lands for economic development affects and degrades biodiversity. Over 200 years, Australian temperate forests have been extensively modified (clearing and graz-ing). Fragmented environments have been generated, reducing threatening the species inhabiting these remnant forests. Previous books have addressed the general principles of biodiversity conservation in agricultural fields. What Makes a Good Farm for Wildlife? stands out by focusing the available knowledge to describe and generate conservation sites (remnant woodlands, plantings, paddocks, rocky outcrops and waterways). Sections of the book are written by authors who have wide experience in the management of natural resources.
