Resumen:
The Lower-Middle Ordovician carbonate succession of the Precordillera is developed along a meridional length of 400 km with a latitudinal width of 150 km in western Argentina. Concentrations of orthoconic nautiloids are common at the top or upper most part of the San Juan Formation in the Central and Eastern Precordillera of San Juan(Beresi, 1981; 2005; Carrera and Astini, 1998;Kröger et al., 2007).Several localities at the Precordillera were survey taking in account the beds with nautiloid accumulation.
