Resumen:
The growing need to use wild lands for economic developmentaffects and degrades biodiversity. Over 200 years, Australian tem-perate forests have been extensively modified (clearing and graz-ing). Fragmented environments have been generated, reducingthreatening the species inhabiting these remnant forests. Previousbooks have addressed the general principles of biodiversity conser-vation in agricultural fields. What Makes a Good Farm forWildlife? stands out by focusing the available knowledge todescribe and generate conservation sites (remnant woodlands, plantings, paddocks, rocky outcrops and waterways). Sections ofthe book are written by authors who have wide experience inthe management of natural resources.
