Resumen:
The speech analysed the social and economic development stages of Argentina since its independence, and pointed out that the economic development of Argentina was a dynamic process influenced by many factors in different periods. The formation of the Latifundia system and the pattern of controlling the economy by the big landlord class were the historical roots of the unbalanced economic development in Argentina in the twentieth Century. The conferece was addressed to an audience composed of Academic researchers and advanced postgraduate students of the History Department at Nankai University, devoted to the study of Latin American History.
