Resumen:
Eating is much more than ingesting a variety of nutrients to meet our biological functions. Socially, eating also involves producing and consuming discourses that classify, prescribe, organize, and build identities around food. In this autoethnographic essay, I reflect on being a vegan and on other people's perceptions of this (still) unusual choice in my country.
