Resumen:
At the present time the amorphous materials? production with the Melt Spinning technique is of much interest as the benefits of the energy saving that these materials provide reaches up to an 80% in relation to conventional materials as plates of FeBSi of oriented grain used in the construction of nucleus of electrical transformers. The Laboratory of Amorphous Solids of the Facultad de Ingeniería de la U.B.A. works since a long time with this technique, but in a scientific scale. At the present time the technology to increase the production to a ?semi-industrial? type scale is being developed. To validate these developments it is necessary to make empirical verifications and to support them with the help of tools of materials characterization and numerical simulation. The principal aim of this work is the introduction of the Melt Spinning process in a ?semi-industrial? scale in the simulation with OpenFOAM®.
