Resumen:
In the second half of the nineteenth century, Paraguay was the scene of the bloodiest war of South America. Between 1864 and 1870, Paraguayan forces clashed with the armies of the alliance formed by Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, in what is called Triple Alliance War (1864-1870). This event had a significant press coverage throughout the countries involved. From the perspective of the histoire croisée, this paper aims to investigate the exchanges produced by the press of the warring countries, with the purpose of studying how the press intercrossings between both sides served the creation of new mutual and reciprocally constructed images.
