PIP 510/10 RESUMEN En el marco del Convenio vigente entre el Ministerio de Turismo de la República Argentina y el CONICET (IMHICIHU), para crear un Sistema de Indicadores de Desarrollo Turístico Sostenible, se han establecido 167 indicadores, divididos en 5 ejes temáticos. Con ellos se verifica una fuerte tendencia hacia una mayor equidad socioterritorial, comprobándose que entre los viajeros argentinos las mujeres han crecido mucho más que los hombres. La tendencia hacia la equidad se observa también en la población adulta mayor y en sectores de bajos recursos, lo que implica una mayor inclusión social en el acceso al turismo y una consecuente reducción de la brecha social con los sectores con más altos ingresos. Palabras Clave: movilidad social, indicadores turísticos, sustentabilidad, población residente viajera SOCIAL MOBILITY AND ACCESS TO TOURISM IN ARGENTINA AN ANALYSIS OF INDICATORS FOR THE PERIOD 2006 ? 2011 ABSTRACT According to the existing agreement between the Ministry of Tourism of Argentina and the CONICET (IMHICIHU), 167 Indicators, divided in 5 thematic axes, have been established to create a System of Indicators of Tourism Development, within a conceptual framework of sustainability. A strong trend towards greater territorial equity, as the origin of Argentine travelers, within which the female grows almost twice that the male is verified with them. The trend towards equity correlates in the elderly population and in areas of low income, implying greater social inclusion in access to tourism and a consequent reduction of the social gap with the more affuent sector.
