Resumen:
Establishing a ceramic typology of the Egyptian pottery has contributed significantly to adjusting the chronology of Tell el-Ghaba. Due to the absence of significant epigraphic inscriptions at the site, the results obtained became one of the most important objectives to our presentation. The ceramic typology enabled us to adjust some observations made on previous studies, recognizing some typological variations that have determined a new time range of occupation in the excavated areas, especially in its earliest levels. The abundance of ceramic materials, in terms of quantity and types, shows a clear temporal distinction between the bottom and upper layers, suggesting that Tell el-Ghaba was occupied for a longer time span.
