Crecimiento turístico en la Argentina: un análisis preliminar a la luz de la información censal de 2010

RESUMEN En la última década el crecimiento demográfico de la Argentina mantuvo, en general, las tendencias de crecimiento de las tres décadas anteriores. Las provincias con mayores ritmos de crecimiento volvieron a ser las patagónicas, aunque luego de cinco períodos intercensales en que prevaleció Tierra del Fuego, el mayor protagonismo correspondió a Santa Cruz. No se hallan disponibles aún los datos del Censo Nacional de 2010 por localidades, pero al considerar la información por departamentos y partidos se puede comprobar que la mayoría da las áreas con fuerte crecimiento demográfico se corresponden, o bien con destinos turísticos en franco crecimiento o bien con áreas en las que se expanden nuevas urbanizaciones, próximas a grandes centros urbanos. El análisis de correlación con otro indicador clave disponible para 2010, como es la relación personas por vivienda, contribuye a establecer algunas conclusiones preliminares. ABSTRACT In the last decade, the demographic growth of Argentina continued, in general, the trends of growth of the three previous decades. The provinces with major growth returned to be the patagonian ones, but after five intercensus periods in which Tierra del Fuego prevailed, the major protagonism corresponded to Santa Cruz. There is not available still the information of the National Census of 2010 for localities, but considering the information for departments and parties it is possible to verify that the majority of the areas with high demographic growth correspond with tourist destinations in strong growth or with areas in those new urbanizations appear, near big urban centers. The analysis of correlation with another available key indicator for 2010, such it is the case of the relation population / housing, it helps to establish some preliminary conclusions.
