Resumen:
This work explores the study of evolutionary patterns in technology by means of methodological tools derived from multivariate analysis and cladistic tree reconstruction methods. In this regard, the way in which the change in diversity of stone tools can be explained from the interaction of three dimensions: space, environment, and history, is looked into. Making use of a study case from the Patagonian coast, an explanatory model is generated that allows the role of each of these dimensions to be evaluated
