ResumenEl turismo es actualmente no sólo una actividad sino también un complejo sistema de relaciones entre los pueblos, basado en el intercambio social, económico y cultural. Diversos destinos se ofrecen al potencial turista, cada vez más exigente, ejerciendo una fuerte competitividad en precios y calidad de servicios. Sin embargo esto no basta. Hay tres aspectos sustanciales en la configuración de un destino turístico que, aunque pocas veces se abordan en profundidad, tienen un peso considerable en el momento de las decisiones.
