Resumen:
Some Upper Egyptian vessels manufactured in Marl A4 have been found in Areas I and II at Tell el-Ghaba. In Area I they are mostly present on the floors and cellar of Building B, while in Area II, they appear on one of the floors of Building L. They have also been observed on the destruction levels of both areas. Their scarcity and contextual localization within the site denote a differential access to these goods by part of a population closely related to the state administration. In view of the contemporary historic situation, we address the hypothesis of an informal access to these goods driven by interactions held at this border site.
