Yu-Shiba-Rusinov states as fractional solitons in one-dimensional superconductors

Resumen:
We consider the system of a classical spin 1/2 impurity coupled to the degrees of freedom of a superconducting nanowire with electronic interactions. By performing the bosonization of the system we find classical solutions of the equations of motion for the bosonic fields. In this language, the Yu-Shiba-Rusinov states are topological soliton solutions of the equations of motion, whose topological charge corresponds to the spin-polarization of the state.
