Resumen:
To identify new biomarkers of response to air pollution in three Tillandsia species plants were transplanted to four areas in Córdoba (Argentina) characterized by having different emission sources: urban, industrial and agricultural activities. A control site was also studied. After three and six months of exposure physiological parameters were measured. For T. capillaris the new biomarker identified was superoxide dismutase activity. Electrical conductivity, relative water content and ascorbate peroxidase activity resulted for T. recurvata and T. tricholepis, besides the kinetics of dehydration, superoxide dismutase and catalase activities for the latest.
