Resumen:
A new polymeri cdosimete based on itaconic acid and N,N?-methylenebisacrylamide was studied.Thepreparation method,composition and monomer and crosslinking agent and the presence of oxygen in thedosimetric system were analyzed.There sulting materials were irradiated with an X-ray tube at 158cGy/min, 226cGymin and 298cGy/min withdosesupto1000Gy.Thedosimeterspresentedalinearre-sponse inthedoserange75?1000Gy,sensitivitiesof0.0371/Gyat298cGy/minandanincreaseinthesensitivity withlowerdoserates.Oneofthemostrelevantoutcomesinthisstudywasobtainingdifferentmonomer tocrosslinkerinclusionintheformedgelforthedosimeterswhereoxygenwaspurgedduringthe preparationmethod.Thiseffecthasnotbeenreportedinothertypicaldosimetersandcouldbeattributed tothelargedifferencesinthereactivityamongthesespecies.
