Resumen:
The main objetive is to recorded the palynological composition in the basal sequense of th Palo Pintado Formation at Quebrada del Estanque locality. The pollen is of continental origin, dominated by Angiospermae, Gimnospermae, Monilophyta, Clorophyta and Briophyta sesu lato. The know botanical affinity is provided to the great majority of the species identified, and their paleocommunities formed are inferred.
