For companies with large industrial plants that need transporting hundreds or thousands of employees to the same place, planning to transport units available and the route of each of them becomes a critical issue. Not only is it necessary to minimize the total investment in vehicles, but also ensure a very high level of service, virtually 100%. In this work we present a methodology aimed at determining the minimum number of transport units and the travel routes of each them, by use of simulations to evaluate both the cost of the alternatives, as well as service tax. The developed methodology was applied to study the transport of personnel to the Ramallo-San Nicolás industrial complex (Argentina) with highly satisfactory results.
