Resumen:
As do Flory et al. (2017), we recognize the potentialconsequences of pathogen accumulation for thedynamics of invaded plant communities. We alsoagree that pathogen accumulation is an important areaof research requiring more attention. However, we arestill puzzled by the paucity of data showing thatpathogen accumulation can control invasive speciespopulations. Flory et al. (2017) mentioned severalexamples, but they are mostly for native species, noninvasivespecies, agricultural settings, or artificialinoculation with pathogens (e.g., Harris et al. 2013).
