Some theories have been analyzed considering the direct or indirect effects of interspecific competition as structuring force of parasite community. The biotic and abiotic theories and the interactive vs. isolationist dichotomous classification of parasite infracommunities have been examined here. Furthermore, the influence of the host biology (invertebrate or vertebrate) about niche seggregation and the models explaining he infracommunities evolution was remarked in this article.
