Resumen:
Abstract. The helminth fauna of Leptodactylus bufonius Boulenger, 1894 was studied from 36 adults individuals from Corrientes, province of Corrientes, Argentina (27°28?S, 58°50?W) between spring 1998 and summer 2004. Thirty four hosts were parasited (94.4 %). A total of two trematoda species (adult of Catadiscus inopinatus and Glypthelmins repandum), eight nematoda species (adult of Rhabdias elegans, Oswaldocruzia sp., Aplectana hylambatis, Aplectana sp., Cosmocerca podicipinus and Cosmocerca parva; larvae of Ortepplascaris sp. and Physaloptera sp.) and one specie of acantocephala (larvae of Centrorhynchus sp.). A. hylambatis had the highest values for the prevalence (69.0 %) and mean intensity (31.8 ± 32.5) of infection. Eight species of helminth are cited for the first time in the host L. bufonius and a new locally record in Sudamerica is reported for six species of helminth. Key words: Acantocephala, Amphibia, Argentina, Nematoda, Trematoda.
