Resumen:
Gelatin/montmorillonite composites were developed in the absence of any additive (plasticizer or cross linking agent). Final composite properties resulted to be intimately related with the clay content and the extension of exfoliated, exfoliated/intercalated and agglomerated structures. Materials with improved water resistance, mechanical and thermal properties were obtained for clay content in the range of 3-10wt.%.
