In this work, sodium alginate was selected as the biodegradable and biocompatible polymeric matrix for the preparation of magnetic films. The mechanical behavior of the films was evaluated by tensile tests and the magnetic properties were confirmed qualitatively, by approaching a magnet to the composite samples.
