Resumen:
Four new species of Sapindaceae from Brazil: Serjania bahiana nov. sp., Urvillea stipularis nov. sp., Urvillea andersonii nov. sp. and Cardiospermum oliveirae nov. sp. are described and illustrated. Critical remarks are made on species closely related to the new ones, and on the section to which the species belong. Cardiospermun procumbens Radlk., was known only from the type collection which lacked fruit, so Radlkofer placed it with doubt in the genus. A detailed morphological analysis of fruit and seeds trom a new collection, provides evidence in favour of its maintence in Cardiospermum. Cardiospermum pterocarpum Radlk., very closely related to C. procumbens, is a new record for the Brazilian flora. Both species show a fleshy aril, a feature not recognized before in the genus.
