Its flow pattern is based on the simple streamtube hydrodynamic approach. Momentum equations are not needed and the velocity fields are deduced from accurate existing correlations and mass balances. Heat transfers are included by means of an heterogeneous approach. The parameters influence studied on the numerical model shows the stability of the resolution scheme. The model results are compared versus experimental data from literature, and accurate predictions of bed temperature level and conversion are achieved.
