Resumen:
We present the first results of a statistical study of density profiles
and color distributions of satellite galaxies in the second release of
the SDSS. We used a background subtraction method to account for the
statistical properties of an ensamble of galaxies asociated with the
halos of bright galaxies, selected from the spectroscopic catalogue.
The results obtained in the photometric sample were compared with that
of the original spectroscopic sample.
