The polymerization technique for an industrial production of superabsorbent materials with agriculture applications in the arid countries of the North Africa and Middle-East was carefully selected taking into account the potential production volume, technological capacity of the company, availability and quality of raw materials and final products specifications. The polymerization technique determined most of the investment, facilities and process engineering. The right selection of the polymerization technique was of great importance for the evaluation of factibility studies, industrial plant design and product development.
