Resumen:
Selected for oral presentation. The approach is based on a terpolymerisation mathematical treatment of binary systems and is proposed for any set of monomers that varies its characteristics depending on specific reaction parameters such as pH, light, and temperature. Knowledge about the homopolymerisation kinetics and the reactivity ratios of the monomers at the extremes of the reaction parameter was found to be sufficient for the modeling. Acrylamide/acrylic acid mixtures polymerized at differents pHs were selected as a case study. Good agreement of the prediction with experimental results was proved.
