Resumen:
In this work, a novel strategy to improve compatibility between the casein and the acrylic polymer is explored. The strategy is based on the use of a crosslinkable casein (CC) that, in addition to the characteristic grafting capacity by redox initiation with hydroperoxide, contains pendant double bonds able to be radicalary polymerized. Mechanical, optical and water sorption properties of the film obtained from the hybrid latexes were investigated.
