Resumen:
In the present work, the effect of the temperature on the degradation rate of an organic pollutant using the Fenton and photo-Fenton processes is investigated. First, a stirred tank laboratory photoreactor irradiated from the bottom was used to evaluate the kinetic parameters between 25°C and 55°C for both reactions. Then, the proposed kinetic model was used to predict the formic acid conversion in a flat-plate solar photoreactor placed inside the loop of a batch recycling system. The radiation field and the mass balances previously reported have been used in this work to compute the formic acid and the hydrogen peroxide concentrations as a function of time in the flat-plate solar reactor.
