Resumen:
In this work it is presented the Prony analysis of PMU measurements (Phasor Measurement Unit) in low voltage recorded in the framework of the Project MedFasee BT Argentina which observes the dynamics of the Sistema Argentino de Interconexión (SADI). The Prony method is used to determine the low damping or unstable low frequency oscillatory modes present in voltage and frequency signals. These modes are characterized by their frequency, damping, amplitude, phase and energy. The Prony method is applied to PMU measurements recorded after an important contingency in the SADI and at state without fault but with the presence of low damped oscillations. This study apart from allowing the detection of low damping modes, has given place to the possibility of obtaining different parameters of the Prony method as signal to be analyzed, which is a requirement for preprocessing as well as the definition of the window of analysis, period of samples and system order.
