Resumen:
The processes governing the coagulation of micrometric or even sub-micrometric dust aggregates into larger structures like pebbles remain elusive. Through computational simulations incorporating adhesive, repulsive, and dissipative interactions between each pair of grains within these dust aggregates, we delve into how porosity, aggregate size, impact velocity, and constituent monomer size influence collisional outcomes. These variables play a crucial role in determining whether collisional outcomes are characterized by growth, erosion, or fracture.Understanding the collisional evolution of granular aggregates holds immense potential for advancing our comprehension of the solid component evolution within protoplanetary disks.
