Rased on the ARO system phenorypes of 95,562 individuals from the six provinces that constitute the Argentine northwest (Jujuy, Salta, Tucuman, Catamatca, La Rioja, and Santiago del Estero), allele frequency, heterozygosis, and genetic admixture, assuming three parental populations (American Indian, Spanish and Black) was estimated. Although no significant interpopulation differences of allele frequencies were detected, their geographical distribution agreed with other sources of biological information and with ethnohistorical and census data 0;1 thi.\' region' s settlement
