<!-- @page { margin: 2cm } P { margin-bottom: 0.21cm } --> This report describes the developments of hardware and software for the acquisition of meteorological data and sky quality for the proposed Argentinean sites for CTA in San Juan, and Salta. The system described here has been developed based on as much commercially available components as possible, also considering the possibility of replacing any component by another of similar characteristics by alternative vendors. Open source software is central in this development to ensure availability, flexibility and low cost. Special attention has been paid to low power consumption, as the whole system is powered by solar energy. The system has been designed for installation at remote locations. Tests were run to guarantee self recovery in case of failure.
