Resumen:
This study tested the arsenite tolerance at different pH of 9 bacterial strains isolated from grapevine roots and soils. Since Micrococcus luteus was the most arsenite tolerant bacteria (40 mM NaAsO2 at pH 9), was selected to analyze siderophore and VOCs production. It produced siderophores even in arsenite presence, but its production is significantly affected. Also, M. luteus increases and modifies the VOCs profile (aliphatic and ketones) in presence of arsenite. The VOCs produced after arsenite influence were 1,3-Hexadien-3-yne, 2-heptanone, 2-nonanone and 2-decanone, which was reported to have PGPR activity. The strain selected is a potential candidate to be used for rhizoremediation in vineyards.
