Resumen:
The purpose of this work is to study a case of insert injection molding process (or overmolding), which is molding the melted polymer around an inserted part placed in the molding cavity, to gain a better understanding of flow field in this complex geometry problem and use Moldex3D simulation predictions in mold design phase to obtain a higher part's quality, avoiding the costly and time consuming trial and error process.
