The failure behaviour of polyurethane foams has been investigated for different imposed stress states. Foams were found to be isotropic with low rate sensitivity. Failure surface seems to be described adequately by a quadratic function of mean stress and effective stress caped by a maximum compressive first stress invariant criterion.
